red paint studio in New Mexico

Fun weekend with demos outside ..the courtyard filled with good eats and arts to be seen in and out of the studio. Thanks for coming! red paint studio will be hosting more events. May 18-20 is New Mexico Fiber Crawl  ( lots of refashioned  clothing) and May 25th I'll teach an evening of Collage/mixed media..call or text to reserve a spot. 

I know ..my studio at home is sweet but as I was looking at some big panels to paint on I was itching for a bigger space to work in. Found a great one in our small village and will be getting ready to open on Feb 14th. Ladies.. we all need some reason to celebrate Valentines Day..come eat chocolates and try on some new creations by Coreline's Closet ..smiles will be free. wed feb 14th 2-7pm  4436 Corrales Rd Corrals NM . I'll have info on workshops I'll be offering and big swallowtail butterfly wings to try on. Great...

Christmas can be lots of work ..add a touch of handmade to make gift giving more personal and rewarding.  As the year wraps up I'll be sorting out what worked and what didn't . Some shows were ok others  not..trunk shows at home studio always easy and fun. New spaces to place artwork for the new year and some that will be retired. Looking forward to doing larger works. our government seems unorganized and uncaring..let's do better in our own lives. happy holidays

In between planting raspberries, mending fences and sewing up girls tunics for a photo shoot...I paint and look in awe at the desert landscape that now is starting to inform my colors and textures. I squint and see landscapes and layers of plant life colors changing in a day from brown to sage green and the roadrunner up on the chimney yells down thru the flue .." hey ..hey..you live in New Mexico..get out there and see it!!...I will.  Creative types find uneasy times unnerving and it can hinder work..makes us come out of the studio and say "Be kind..be...

Thanks to all the lovely ladies who come to Coreline's Closet home studio Trunk Show! We had some laughs and tried on lots of sweet clothes and sipped and tasted delights. AARC Animal Adoption Resource Center of Corrales NM received a small donation. We'll plan on our next Trunk show for Mothers Day unless some lucky lady wants to have a fun afternoon at her home before then..(you get a great gift!).  Corrales Bosque Gallery is a well established cooperative gallery here in Corrales and it's been great to get acquainted with new artists and have gallery time to meet...
